A Soldier's Play is a detective mystery written by African American writer Charles H. Fuller Jr. The piece, which had first premiered in 1981, is about the prejudice that certain African Americans have toward one another with murder that serves as its core element. The play has been well received and won the 1982 Pulitzer Prize as well as the 1982 Best American Play Award from the New York Drama Critics Circle, and now it is coming to stage just for you. Fuller decided to pursue writing after seeing that his high school lacked any novels by African Americans, and boy are people happy he did.
