A Soldier's Play is a detective mystery written by African American author Charles H. Fuller Jr. The play, which had first premiered in 1981, is about the animosity that certain African Americans have toward one another with murder that serves as its dominant idea. The play has been well received and won the 1982 Pulitzer Prize as well as the 1982 Best American Play Award from the New York Drama Critics Circle, and now it is coming to stage just for you. Fuller decided to pursue writing after observing that his high school lacked any novels by African Americans, and boy are fans and critics happy he did.
