For those who enjoy the stories that retell historical events in a modern way, CIBC Theatre has a new show. The Broadway show Six — The Musical offers engaging music and a new point of view on the ladies of Henry VIII. The spectators experiences the power of women with an outstanding show and memorable pop music.
It is based on the many marriages of King Henry VIII, Six tells the story of the King's six wives. Adapted by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six presents the story as a singing game show in which each bride must tell their story. The audience watches as each woman reclaims their own identity.
The play begins as each bride introduces themselves through the performance of a song. Only the lady who had to endure the most can win the title of the band's lead singer. Despite arguing among themselves, the women finally decide they can no longer let this man define them. By the end they sing together as a allied unit.
The play first opened in 2017, but CIBC Theatre now presents the next production. Critics rave about the show's innovation and dynamic advocacy. Fans love the excellent music, the message, and the excitement that the show instills in them.

Six is that musical experience you always needed, but you had no clue you wanted! If we're honest, no one could have predicted being a devoted supporter of a performance that satirizes the lives of the wives of Henry VIII and imagines them rocking a musical! The context that you're going to require to understand this production is in your old textbooks. That may lead to an engaging experience even before you step into the theater because it would be a good idea to brush up on what happened with each of Henry's wives before you head to CIBC Theatre on Saturday 6th December 2025. That way, you'll catch all of the inside jokes and the quips, notably between Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn.
History teachers worldwide can take notes from the playwrights of this one! It's challenging to get people invested in a history course. When Henry VIII is involved, though, the tale includes scandal, beheadings, and a plenty of affairs, so it helps that people tend to are drawn to these things. The way it's presented through all of these songs is going to have you cheering, chuckling, grooving, doing all that you'd hope to experience at a musical! By the way, it's also a far less formal than your standard musical experience, so that idea of being on your feet is totally fine. Picture it as the Mamma Mia vibe!
Some of the most ideal spots inside any theater for a stage show are always toward the heart of the theater. That's the center, anyway you want to look at it, which means in the central area and at least a few rows back from the stage. At a show like this, it might be a smart idea to seek out seats at CIBC Theatre with a touch of additional legroom. Thank us later!
