After performances in the world’s most celebrated theaters such as Broadway itself and London’s West End, Hamilton will now also be playing for a limited season this spring in CIBC Theatre of Chicago, an especially renowned venue renown for its ultimate amenities fit to present world-class plays and musicals.

The production honors the life of Alexander Hamilton, conceptualized and scored by the multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, based off the 2004 biography of Ron Chernow. It centers on the real life of Alexander Hamilton in a ‘hipper’ format, being dedicated to the truth behind Hamilton's life but with creative direction and musical styles that makes this production highly entertaining. Hamilton initially began off Broadway in August of 2015 and was immediately met with astounding reviews for its debut. Along with a number of critics and reviewers, The Washington Post, called it “making ecstatic history”, as the show’s performance with its astounding cast including the likes of show creator Lin-Manuel Miranda himself in the main role and Tony Award winner Jonathan Groff, impressed audiences in its premiere with a brilliant production. The Musical went on over the next decade to earn 11 Tony Awards from sixteen nominations, as well as Olivier, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Awards.

Since it began in 2015, Hamilton has toured to be performed in numerous theaters around the globe, where it has been receiving continuously positive reviews. BroadwayWorld calls The Musical “the hottest ticket in town”, as it appeals to a broad range in audience due to it being accessible to both the older audiences who were interested in the history behind Hamilton, and the newer generations that hears about the new and artistic approach behind this Musical. Across in the U.K.'s London’s West End, TimeOut had concerns over the show being overblown, but that “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, is actually better than the hype suggests”. More so, recently with a touring cast in its Manila, Philippines’ performance, PEP PH describes Hamilton as a “visual and sensory feast that adds layers of depth to the narrative”; “This musical is a masterpiece not because it tells a flawless story, but because it brilliantly captures the essence of the imperfect human experience, and in doing so, it achieves perfection on the stage”, they expanded.

Newspaper critics and viewers alike agree that Hamilton is a must-attend this spring as it picks up its runs all over America.
